Newcastle United’s Laurent Robert will sign for Bolton Wanderers, subject to a medical after a fee was agreed for the 30-year-old French winger.

Speaking to Sky Sports, his agent Willie McKay confirmed:

"Laurent is set to sign for Bolton on Monday subject to a medical."

"He is due to put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal and he is on the same deal he was on at Newcastle.

"Talks with Bolton have gone well and I expect a deal to be concluded.

"Sam Allardyce has always been an admirer of Laurent and wants to reunite him with Jay-Jay Okocha after their time together at Paris Saint Germain."
