TERRY MAC: "I am as excited about getting Scott as I was when we were bringing in the likes of Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand...

"The biggest compliment I can pay Scott is that I feel he is as good as Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieira and Frank Lampard.

"He is quality and I'm ecstatic we have got him because he is exactly what we need, on and off the field.

"We want our midfielders to get into double figures and Scott is capable of scoring goals."
