Souness on Bowyer: He Is A Dream to Work With

"He is a dream to work with" - a quote perhaps you would not expect to read about Lee Bowyer - especially after an on-pitch fight with team mate Kieron Dyer - but these are the words of Newcastle United boss Graeme Souness ahead of the new season.

This season, the Magpies' will play with a new-look midfield - with new signings Scott Parker and Emre leading the way. Souness is also surprisingly keen to have Lee Bowyer part of this new-look.

SOUNESS: "I have never wanted Lee Bowyer to leave. Since I have been here I have enjoyed working with him. He has a right go in training every day.

"I know he has been involved in situations off the field and last year on the field, but he is a dream to work with.

"I spoke to David O'Leary and George Graham and they both said the same thing.

"He is a great lad and just has to not get involved in things that are daft because mention his name and people don't think about the hard-working player who goes out on the park every week, they talk about the daft things."
