Souness to Build Team Around Jenas

In an attempt to persuade Jermaine Jenas to stay at Newcastle, manager Graeme Souness has said he’d build the team around Jenas.

Jenas is reportedly unsettled at St. James’ Park and it seems he may be making a move to the capital to join either Tottenham or Arsenal.

Freddy Shepherd has already said that Jenas has not handed in a transfer request, and that no bid has been made.

Shepherd said:

"We have not received a transfer request from Jermaine Jenas,"

"And we have not received a bid for him from any club."

If Jenas wants to leave, Newcastle will have little option but to accept reasonable bids. The Magpies will be hoping to get between £10 million and £15 million for the 22-year-old England international.
