Another Ugly Victory

Trust Cesc Fabregas, of all people, to be the right man, in the right place, at the right time, to break Arsenic hearts with Chelsea's late winner which all but ends Arsenil's simmering Premiership challenge. The man that they overlooked last summer has had the last laugh on Sunday the twelfth of April. That late heartbreaker was but the only moment of value from an awful derby match in which Chelsea were determined to play as badly as their inept hosts.    

 Although the Premiership-winners elect are now beginning to make a [dreadful] habit of getting the job done, with no frills and no fireworks, this simply won't do next year. I'm afraid that this team is disintegrating, or at least requires drastic surgery over the summer. Oscar and Ramires are not unlocking defences, and the creative burden rests with Hazard and the ever-willing Willian. Fabregas and Matic are a shadow of the formidable pre-Christmas partnership. No wonder Mourinho is apparently waving his boss's chequebook at Paul Pogba. Of course, Mata is coming good at Old Trafford. He is just the type of player we need to supply the penetrative passes that this current bunch are conspicuously failing to do. On the other hand, maybe we have been guilty of emulating Arsenil by trying to walk the ball into the net? Well, we are certainly walking towards the title now, rather than hurtling towards it.

Perhaps the bigger the challenge, the better the performance. With ManUre and Arsenic loming on the horizon, one hopes that they might galvanise our seemingly weary troops. Somehow I doubt it. The cautious one will presumably revert to his customary bus-parking antics against these red wannabes. How very tiresome. I must say that with the resources at our disposal, it is nothing short of a disgrace that Mourinho's team is devoid of flair, imagination, and pace. This team may well be crowned as English champions within the next month, but I reckon that they are light years away from winning the Premiership in 2016. One only has to look at how Liverpoo were flying last year, before they hit the buffers at the end of the season. They have never been the same since. Similarly, Manchester Wannabes won the Premiership last year, but they have disintegrated in 2015. Chelsea too appear to be deteriorating. In truth, they won the Premiership back in the autumn, a result of exhilarating football and the absence of any challenge from anyone else.

I foresee Chelsea slipping behind free-scoring ManUre, and improving Arsenic, and possibly rejuvenated Liverfools next season, unless our transfer manoeuvres breathe new life into the current squad. 

Oh well, let's 'celebrate' yet another unconvincing win. In fact, Chelsea will soon be setting a world record for the most wins by a one-goal margin in a season, as we are unable to give any team a proper roasting anymore. Still, it is good to deny QPR any points this season. There is something increasingly toxic about clashes between the two west London neighbours. Yesterday was no exception. When Fabregas grabbed the late winner, various objects were thrown at the Chelsea players. This violence will not compare, in the eyes of the perverted media, with the alleged racism of several Chelsea supporters. Like any good bully, the media chooses its victims carefully and will highlight the stamping of Costa and skim over the same offence from Skrtel, while also screaming hysterically at racist Chelsea supporters while dwelling for five seconds on the dangerous antics of the vile QPR supporters.

I think that I speak for most Chelsea supporters in stating that it would be great to see QPR relegated. Obviously we will miss six points from them, but we won't miss their jealousy and bitterness. It would be good to send Sunderland down on the final day too. I quite like the little general, Dick Advocaat, but them Mackems have been a nuisance against us in recent matches. It would be good if they too swapped places with the likes of free-scoring Bournemouth.

Let's hope that Remy is fit for the visit of ManUre as it is unlikely that Costa will be back just yet. In the mean time, let's toast our awful, but awfully important smash and grab at QPR. It couldn't have happened against a nicer club.......
