Embarrassing, Laughable Nonsense

Not unlike their December setback at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea capitulated in the second half on a freezing night on the south coast, having dominated the match until the interval. The hosts taught the overpaid visitors a lesson in scoring goals, and this fiasco is proof that the two cup wins of last weekend were merely papering over the cracks. Sarri claims that he can't motivate the players, which doesn't bode well at all. If his goal-shy players cannot respond to going behind, then every team will be encouraged to take the lead, knowing that Chelsea don't appear to have the stomach or the know-how to reply.

Chelsea I'm afraid are going nowhere slowly under Sarri. He's on a par, it seems, with AVB and Scolari in terms of incompetence. Of course the numpties who run the club will insist upon sourcing Serie A for managers and players. One such recruit Higuain hasn't exactly hit the ground running - no surprise there. Kovacic still hasn't scored a single goal and the apparently undroppable Obi Mikel Jorginho still hasn't assisted with a single goal. Oh well. Congratulations to Bournemouth for inflicting Chelsea's worst league defeat since 1996. Meanwhile, look out sixth place. Here comes Chelsea.

AFC Bournemouth 4 CHELSEA 0; half time: 0-0

CHELSEA: Arrizabalaga; Emerson; Luiz; Azpilicueta; Rudiger; Jorginho; Higuain; Kante; Kovacic; Pedro; Hazard. Used substitutes: Willian; Giroud; Loftus-Cheek

Hazard thirteen

Morata nine

Willian seven

Loftus-Cheek six
