Town manager Jim Magilton chalked up his first win as Town manager last night when Town beat Irish side Galway 2-0.

Nicky Forster has continued his scoring form from last season into pre-season with two goals in two games, the first against Boston on Saturday and the second coming after just three minutes against Galway last night to put Town 1-0 up.

Sito made it 2-0 after 14 minutes when he fired in a left foot from a Jaime Peters pass, Peters also set up Jason De Vos to head in but that goal was disallowed because of a foul on one of the home side players.

Parkin was unlucky with two headers before he and strike partner Nicky Forster were replaced on the hour mark.

Next up for Town is Martijn Reuser’s former club Willem II as part of the tour of Holland and Belgium.
