D-Day: The Oppo View

Message board contributor ‘TimmyTractor’, a Norwich fan gives us Ipswich fans his view ahead of the first real East Anglian derby of the season.

Well derby day approaches and the nerves are jangling already, after all its the one fixture neither side wants to lose, In most games its usual to look at recent form to see which way a game will go but often the team who are playing the worst comes out on top!

 

But what the hell lets look at the form book, Ipswich’s form is patchy but good results have been had, whereas Norwich’s form is up and down more than a whores knickers, things have improved under Peter Grant apart from the debacle at Stoke and Jim Magilton still seems to be finding his feet , so which way will it go?

 

Well my heart says Norwich but my head says a draw, but the man who would put money on this fixture is a fool, If Huckerby is firing on all cylinders and Earnie has his shooting boots on its fingers crossed we should be okay, so spare a thought for me on Sunday unable to get the day off due to every man and his dog being off sick, my only contact with the outside world being the crappy internet on my phone!

 

But on a final note it would seem the binners have uncovered a little known fact revealed in Di Canio`s autobiography regarding Peter Grant, it seems he is petrified of fish ( yes fish! not spiders or snakes) , rather sadly the local rags are urging people to turn up dressed as fish or waving them about in an attempt to hex the canaries, so fellow canaries we should not worry too much because if our Blue nose friends have to resort to this i think they are more worried about us than we are about them !!
