Kilkenny A Target

Birmingham City midfielder Neil Kilkenny is now a target for Town after a loan dell for George O'Callaghan fell through.
Kilkenny was an unused sub during Town’s 1-0 against Birmingham on New Years Day but it is up to Steve Bruce whether or not Town can get the 21-year-old who was once on the books of Arsenal.
He made 25 appearances for Birmingham last season as they fought for Premiership survival.
George O'Callaghan was Jim Magilton’s first choice new midfielder but Cork City want a permanent deal for the player not a loan, something Cork’s manager Damien Richardson cannot understand, saying: “Ipswich have not made a genuine offer as of yet. They want him on loan until the end of the English season.
“He's been there for the last three months, so we can't even understand why they would want that. So we've turned that down. They either want to sign him or they don't.”
