Lisbie And Skacel To Sign?

Town are reportedly on the verge of signing both Colchester United striker Kevin Lisbie and Southampton midfielder Rudi Skacel.

Lisbie has been linked with Town before but the rumours circulating elsewhere today suggest the 29-year-old is very nearly a Town player as a fee of £750,000 has been agreed with Colchester United and now just personal terms to be agreed for the striker that scored 17 goals for the U's last season.

Elsewhere Southampton's new head coach Jan Poortvliet says Rudi Skácel is in final negotiations with Town, saying: "There is no future for him here. He is in final negotiations with Ipswich.

"We have to let some of the players go. We want young players with some experienced players and when all of the squad are here the kids don't get a chance."
