Civelli Out For Season

Town midfielder Luciano Civelli will not play for Town again this season after damaging knee ligaments in Town’s 1-1 draw with Burnley on Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old pulled up in the final moments of Town's game with Burnley on Tuesday and had to be carried off on a stretcher, he gave a thumbs up to the Town crowd as he was driven away on the tractor, but that may have been optimistic.

Town physio Matt Byard: "Luca has had a scan and there is ligament damage but it is not clear to what extent yet.

"The knee is very swollen and we will know more when it is settled down and he has had more scans.

"We will be speaking to specialist and planning his recovery but we won't pit any timescale on a return until some time next week.

"The injury is extensive enough though for us to rule him out for the rest of the season."
