Pablo Wants Extension

Ipswich Town striker Pablo Couñago wants to stay at Portman road beyond his current contract which runs out in June.

The 24 year old has been linked with moves away from Portman road during the summer, partly because of towns tight finances and his high wages, but he stated time and again he wants to stay.

Pablo has said that: “I have read all the speculation about me leaving Ipswich and about me being the biggest wage-earner.

“I take no notice, and as a footballer at this level you expect this. I like it at Portman Road and want to score goals and enjoy my football.

“To earn a new contract for the one that runs out next June I need to help fire Ipswich into the Premiership.

“Another season at this level and it will mean I will probably have to leave.”.
