Ipswich Town goalkeeper Kelvin Davis is expected to be fit for Sundays game against Coventry City after a minor back injury.

Davis was withdrawn from Tuesday nights game against Reading at half time with Lewis Price coming on to replace him.

Town manager Joe Royle has said: “By the time the weekend comes he should be okay.

“He ricked his back but it normally only needs a day's rest to settle down and get him right.

“On this occasion though, he wasn't too happy before the game after the kickabout and we gave him an injection to get him through to half-time.

“It should be two or three days now for it to clear up and that gives him time to recover for the weekend.”.
