Freedman Linked Again

Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman is again being linked with a loan move to Portman Road after Joe Royle watched him in Palace Reserves.

Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman is again being linked with a loan move to Portman Road after Joe Royle watched him in Palace Reserves.

The 30 year old front man scored the Palace goal but did not do enough to stop them going down 2-1 against the Coventry City second string.

Joe Royle is not completely ruling out the loan signing of Freedman but nor has confirmed his interest.

Royle: “I was at the game but that is all I'm prepared to say. Nothing will be happening this week and nothing is signed or agreed for next week.

“There is no urgency. There is nothing wrong with the team at the moment so it's not a matter of fixing anything.

“If we get someone in they have to be as good, if not better than we already have as I'm not bringing any one in to be a back-up.”.

Freedman has featured just three times for Palace scoring just once, against Hartlepool in the carling cup.
