Pablo Couñago scored his second in two reserve outings but and own goal from Jerrome Sobers and a strike earlier in the game from Danny Crow gave the canaries all three points.

Norwich had the game under control though out the first half and took the lead after about 20 minutes when Jerrome Sobers who had a poor night all round failed to deal with a long clearance from Norwich ’keeper Paul Gallacher, allowing Danny Crow to run on to end of it and put the ball past Shane Supple in the Ipswich goal.

Town created little in the first half and what they did create was never finished off very well by the two strikers who sent most of the shots weakly goal wards or didn’t get the shot in at all.

Norwich doubled there advantage three minutes into the second half, Jerrome Sobers deflecting Jim Brennan’s cross past Shane Supple.

Towards the end of the game Town did get forward a little more, Pablo Couñago twisting and turning among the Norwich defence and getting a shot in which found the back of the net in the 83rd minute.

The reserves continue to prop up the reserve league south with just two points, but a game in hand over Leicester City who have four points.
