Deano: We’ll Bounce Back

Ipswich Town striker Dean Bowditch believes that Town can bounce back from Sundays defeat against Sunderland with a win against Brighton.

Dean believes that Town’s showing on Sunday was the worst one of the season so far, but believes it was a one off and Town will do better on Saturday when Brighton visit Portman Road.

Dean: “It was our worst display of the season at Sunderland and while they played very well, I'm sure it will prove to be a one-off for us, we had no cutting edge to our play and we all know we didn't perform anywhere like we can so it's up to us to put that right against Brighton.

“It's important that we get back to winning ways and everyone is determined to do just that.”

The 18 year old started Sundays game at the Stadium of Light but was withdrawn before half time after a missed placed tackle from Sunderland player Jeff Whitley.

Dean added: “I was very disappointed to have to come off because the manager had given me a chance from the start, it was a freak accident though, the injury. Jeff Whitley caught me as I cleared the ball. I've damaged some ligaments in my foot but any lower with the contact and there could have been problems with the bone.

“It's not as bad as I first thought and I'm lucky in a way that he caught me in the 'best' place on my ankle but it's too early to tell for the weekend.”
