Ipswich Town defender Drissa Diallo cant wait to get back in action and play his part in Town’s promotion push.

Diallo is included in the Town squad for the first time in 2005 for tomorrows game against Leeds United following four months out with a hamstring problem.

After finally over coming the injury the 32-year-old cant wait to be in action for the first team tomorrow.

Drissa: “It has been a nightmare for me with the injury but now I am finally over the problem, I want to do my best for the team, I have played a couple of reserve games over the last two weeks and had no worries with the injury and feel fine now.

“I am naturally fit anyway so making the step up to play for the first-team doesn't worry me, in fact I am very keen to get involved as soon as possible.

“When I made my debut for Burnley against Ipswich, it was my first game for many months and I was voted man of the match so the manager knows my fitness is not a problem.

“I am not a good watcher of games so it was very frustrating being out for so long but now I hope I am injury free and can help the boys win promotion.”
