Drissa Calling Old Pals

Ipswich Town defender Drissa Diallo will be calling an old pal before Town play Brighton on Sunday.

Reading defender Ibrahima Sonko is likely to be part of the Royals side that could give Ipswich a massive chance of going up automatically if they can stop Wigan getting all three points on Sunday. Although Reading will be well aware of what they need to do in order to get a play-off space Drissa will be reminding Sonko what their result could do for Town, just like he did when he rang George Santos before QPR played Wigan.

 

Drissa: “When I rang Georges he said he would not let Wigan win. He geed up his team-mates and worked his socks off.

 

“I know Ibrahima just as well as we were brought up in French football together. I also know that he will be just as resolute on Sunday.

 

“Reading will not need any extra incentive as they need the points themselves, but I will give Ibrahima a call and stress how important it is for Ipswich.”
