Heidar Heading To Town?

Watford striker Heidar Helguson is reported to be one off Joe Royle’s target to replace want away striker Darren Bent.

The 27-year-old is also reportedly on the wanted list of Sheffield United, Reading, Leeds, Stoke and West Ham and with 20 goals to his name last season it is understandable why he is wanted by so many teams.

However with a year to still run on his Watford contract he would command a fee which Town can only afford if Darren Bent is to be sold and so far no firm bids have been made, although both Charlton and Sunderland are reportedly interested in him with some sources suggesting a bid of £3.2 million has been made by Charlton.

Also linked with moves to Town to replace Bent are Hibs striker Derek Riordan, Bristol City frontman Leroy Lita and Reading striker Steve Sidwell.
