Darren’s Disappointment

Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Currie wants to make up for last season’s play-off defeat and get Town promoted next season.
The 30-year-old midfielder admits to taking two weeks to get over the 4-2 aggregate defeat against West Ham.
Currie: “I've never been in a side in that sort of position before, to be so close to the Premiership and miss out was a huge blow.
“It took me about two weeks to get over it, but making plans for our wedding took my mind off it and now I am raring to go again.”
Failure to get promoted also lead to a few players leaving Town and Currie also admitted his disappointment at seeing them leave, adding: “It was a disappointment to lose Benty and Shefki, but we have replaced them with two quality players, we wanted a home game to start with and that is what we have got.
