Praise For Pitch From Joe

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has praised the newly laid pitch at Portman Road, after inspecting the surface last night.

Royle is currently recovering from knee surgery so rather than take up his place in the dug out at last nights friendly against Cambridge instead going to inspect the newly laid pitch at Portman Road.

 

Royle has said: “It looks terrific and Alan and his team are pleased so that's a good sign, the pitch has been among the best in the country for a while now and I'm sure it will be no different this season.”
