Report: Boston 2-5 Town

Town continued their prolific ways in front Goal, netting 5 against league two side Boston United at York Street yesterday.

Town started with a man attack, Dean Bowditch joined Sam Parkin and Nicky Forster upfront but despite that it was the league two outfit took the lead after 24 minutes when Jason Lee lifted the ball just over and out the reach of Lewis Price.

 

Town replied 7 minutes later, Daren Currie was brought down just outside the box, the referee awarded a free-kick which Currie sent round the wall and into the net to level the scores.

 

Town took the lead just a minute after the restart after Owen Garvan headed the ball after his chip hit the bar and town extended their lead to two goals on 62 minutes when Darren Currie’s cross found Nicky Forster who fired the ball into the net to make it 3-1.

 

Less than a minute later it was 3-2 as Boston broke away from the kick-off and scored when Daryl Clare headed past Shane Supple.

 

It was 4-2 on 78 minutes after Darren Currie’s corner was deflected into the net off Alan White and Jim Magilton wrapped up the scoring on 84 minutes when he lobbed the ‘keeper.

 

First Half: Price, Wilnis, De Vos, Naylor, Richards, Currie, Juan, Westlake, Bowditch, Forster, Parkin.

 

Second Half: Supple, Moore, Collins, Naylor, Horlock, Currie, Magilton, Garvan, McDonald, Forster, Parkin.
