Turner Backing For Adam

Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Chris Turner is backing on-loan Sheffield Wednesday striker Adam Proudlock to turn his career around at Town.

Turner took Adam to Hillsborough from Wolves in 2003 for a fee of £150,000 but things never really worked out and Adam was sacked by the Owls last month for breach of the club rules.

 

Turner: “Adam needs somebody to put their arm round him and try to steer him out of a bit of a rut, I think Joe Royle will be able to do that and it's a great chance Adam has been given to try to get his career back on track.

 

“He has got great potential, that's why I bought him for Sheffield Wednesday. It's unfortunate that things did not work out for him, but this could be the kick up the backside he needs to fulfil that potential.”
