Joe On Referee

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says he no real argument with referee Andy Woolmer who flashed 10 yellow cards and two reds in Towns game against Palace.
Mr Woolmer booked three Town players and six from Palace with Ben Watson being shown two of those and then one of Palaces two red cards with Jon Macken seeing the other.
Joe also believes Tony Popovic handled inside the area just before Michael Hughes added Palace’s second.
Joe: “From where I was looking, I thought the lad handled it and I also thought Andy Johnson committed a foul in the lead up to the goal, but although the game was never malicious, I had little argument with the decisions of the referee, although I thought we on the wrong end of some.
“Watson's red card looked a bit soft but Macken can have no complaints. If you go around elbowing someone off the ball with the referee next to you, it's not very clever.”
