Delight For Lee

Ipswich Town striker Alan Lee could not be happier with the two goals he scored against Southampton today.

Lee opened the scoring for Town on four minutes and secured the points with an 89th minute winner.

Lee: “I'm made up with the two goals and the three points that went with them, I felt good from the first minute and could have had more than the two goals. Scoring early gave us a great start but after just missing with a diving header in the second-half, I was always worried they might nick a goal.

“The last 10 minutes dragged on so it was pleasing to see the second one go in.

“Any striker thrives on scoring goals and I'm no different so getting two against Southampton will give my confidence a boost, especially having just joined Ipswich.”
