Shane Eyeing Top 6

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Shane Supple believes Town can still make a late charge for the play-off places.

Supple: “We expected the game to be very competitive. Leeds are pushing for an automatic promotion place and it turned out to be a tough encounter.

 

“But once we got going we started to play very well; we passed the ball well and created some good chances.

 

“Danny took his goal really well and if his attempt that hit the bar had gone in that would have killed Leeds off.

 

“We were all adamant that Jason had been pushed for the penalty which resulted in him handling the ball - it was a very harsh decision.

 

“The video evidence clearly showed that he had been pushed. These things happen and it was just unlucky.

 

“You can see throughout the whole team that the lads are playing well and with great confidence. We really believe that we can push on and claim a Play-Off place. That's the aim now and we've got a big game on Sunday but with the way we're playing we're not afraid of anyone.”
