Permit Decision Thursday

Ipswich Town will find out on Thursday if they will be able to sign Ricardo Fuller on-loan from Southampton on Thursday.

A contingent of Town officials and Town manager Joe Royle will be in Sheffield on Thursday to ask a work permits committee if they will grant Fuller a permit to allow him to play at Town.

 

It is believed that no player has as yet been granted a permit to move to a loan club but then again few are likely to have applied for one as like the FA and Football League they would believe that a work permit granted at one club will still be valid at another because he is still employed by the first club.

 

If Town can’t sign Fuller Town manager Joe Royle has another target, Joe: “There were only really two strikers I wanted and they were Alan Lee and Ricardo. That said, I have been keeping an eye on a couple of other players just in case and I will be making a couple of preliminary phone calls to managers in the next day or so.”
