Ipswich Town striker Nicky Forster returned to full training earlier today and he could play for the reserves this week.

Forster has been out of action for large spells of this season after two operations on his knee to solve a cartilage problem, the first operation was back in august the second came last month.

Town physio Dave Williams: “Fozzie is doing very well and returned to full training this morning, he has worked hard on his rehab and is very positive about the way things are going at the moment.

“It's possible that he may play some part of the reserves' match against West Ham on Friday night, it will be down to how he reacts to training over the next few days.

“It's probably more likely that he will have a run out next week though which will give him more time to get some training under his belt before he is put into a match situation.

“He's very upbeat about his recovery now and is desperate to get back as soon as possible.”
