Penalty, Offside,howay ref! All usual shouts from terraces and dugouts. But why? These men are trained professionals, so why are they making so many mistakes.

Referee's have never been the most popular of people at football matches but it seems that with each game the referee's are getting worse and worse.

Referee's have now gained a celebrity status and some are just as well known as the footballers themselves. They are trained professionals yet they always seem to get it wrong. It most cases they are the greatest excuse for losing a game and in others the complaints are geniune and the refs do have bad games

People wouldn't be so anoid by them if refere's didnt have a certain arrogance whereby they think they make no mistakes and are perfect individuals.

But it is not all the referee's fault. THey are meant to be helped by their two assistants but as Liverpool keeper Reina found out they cant even get simple decisions right.

I aswell as many other people across the land do believe it is time that video refs should be called in for major decisions or even minor decisions for the useless refs
