Lousy Start

Same old fixture - same old story.  Rochdale v Pools is the most contested fixture in the league's 125 year history but it's one which the travelling blue and white army did not relish.

We started off very well but once Rochdale scored an opportunist goal after a quarter of an hour they slowly got on top .

A second half penalty effectively sealed the agme before they scored their third. The way Pools are playing if you scorer one you'll beat us.

The problem was that on paper this looked a strong Pools side and after all the talking up of our prospects it's back to the drawing board and a difficult cup trip to Preston in midweek.

Let's hope for better - a goal would be good.

Rochdale: Lillis, Rafferty, Cavanagh, Eastham, Lancashire, Vincenti, Donnelly, Hogan, Lund, Rose, Henderson (Done 75)
Pools: Flinders, Austin, Collins, Burgess, Hartley, Walker (James 55), Baldwin, Sweeney (Poole 70), Franks, Compton, Monkhouse (Howard 70)
Subs: Rafferty, Richards, Walton, Rodney
