A Goal Will Do
Walton

The law of averages says we are overdue for a goal and surely it will come at York. Tony Sweeney is out but Simon Walton did more than enough to earn his place against his home town club ...
Let's hope he asserts his influence in the "derby" in the right way as his experience can certainly help some of the very young players around him.
There were enough signs last week that this team can develop into a decent unit and if the chances continue to be created the odd one will certainly go in.
Word is that Steve Howard is likely to start, and he is likely to prove more of a handful if we continue to play with one man up front. Poole is most likely to be the beneficiary after his man of the match performance against Southend.
A win would make a world of difference. Even a goal would be a big plus. We don't ask for much these days.
Forecast: James to earn us a draw after coming off the bench.
Pools (likely): Flinders; Austin, Baldwin, Burgess, Holden; Franks, Walton, Walker, Compton; Poole; Howard. Subs: Rafferty, Richards, Rodney, James, Collins, Boagey, Hawkins.
