Billy McLaren minces no words after Stranraer's poor display against Cowdenbeath in the first game of the season at Stair Park. Blame for the loss seems to be squarely set on the shoulders of the whole team.

Stranraer 2-3 Cowdenbeath After the match Billy gave me his thought on the game: "That is by far away, far away, miles away the worst f***ing performance since I have been here." After a brief verbal exchange with the reporter from The Sun newspaper he added: "By the way, we dont want any s***e stories. Just plain what I say if you don't mind." When asked what had cost Stranraer the match Billy said: "It is hard to say if it was the goalkeeper that what done us in, or if we done ourselves in over and above that." He continued, "It was a horrendous, from f***ing goalkeeper to the outfield. There wasn't a person on that park today that looked like they had seen a ball before. It was digusting, absouletly f***ing digusting." Why was Ian Harty taken off after 8 minutes? "He had a strain that wasn't getting any better."
