Billericay Town 0-1 Stevenage Borough

A Ritchie Hanlon goal was enough to give Stevenage a place in the second round of the FA Cup, despite an excellent effort by Isthmian League side Billericay Town. Andy Woodman had an excellent game because of this.

He was the hero of the day, pulling off some excellent saves to keep Billericay at bay. It was an unusual goal by Hanlon, as it looked like a cross which fooled everyone and went straight in. Stevenage go in the hat for the second round draw, the stage which Boro went to League Two (Division Three) Swansea City, and were cruely beaten 2-1. Jason Goodliffe was also sent off for two bookable offences.

Billericay: Gothard, McSweeney, Sappleton, Kerrigan (Henty), Trott, Dormer, Forbes, L. Hunter, Gallagher (Wareham), Brayley (Stowe), Cousins

Boro: Woodman, Hocking, Goodliffe, Quinn (Rogers), Laker, Hanlon, Gregory (McAllister), Bulman (Brough), Brady, Boyd, Elding
