Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia has denied reports that Sunderland had made a bid for Bolton Wanderers' defender Danny Shittu.

It was reported yesterday that Sunderland had made a bid for the defender but Ricky Sbragia has denied the alleged bid.

"He's not one that we've looked at," insisted Sbragia. "No, not at all."
