news: Crouch set for Sunderland

Peter Crouch arrived in the north east this morning along with his agent, Jonathan Barnett, who confirmed that his client was set to hold talks with Sunderland boss.
This would be a major signing for Sunderland and one that I'm sure all fans would welcome!
It would be great to have a proven premier league and international goal scorer at the club.
The bookies now have Crouch at 1/6 to join Sunderland.

I have a feeling he'll go to fulham. I know he's demanding a hefty wage packet but i think he'll be keen to stay in the smoke.

Be an excelent signing, there were a lot of eyebrows raised when he came ta liverpool. he proved his doubters wrong, works hard brings that something extra even as a match winner.
I was gutted when he left us, well worth every penny.

If he does come to Sunderland I hope we don't pay the reported 90k a week.
