Ronnie Moore has laid down a goal-scoring challenge to striker Bas Savage this season which will see the Manager dye his hair a colour of Savage's choice if the big striker manages to net a hat-trick during the remainder of this season in Coca-Cola League One.

Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore yesterday gave Bas Savage a special incentive for the rest of the season.

Moore promised that if Bas Savage scores a hat-trick between now and the end of the season he will dye his hair a random colour of Savage's choice.

Savage who signed for Rovers in the summer of 2008 from Millwall has been in fine form for Rovers and has settled in well with the Rovers fans with his trademark moonwalk celebration, his work rate and his spectacular hair styles.

Moore told the Football League Website:

"If Bas gets a hat-trick this season I will dye my hair blue, and I hope that's an incentive for him!

"In fact, if he gets three goals I will do my hair whatever colour he wants!"

"I knew about the moonwalk before he signed. But I also knew he didn't do it that often because he only does it when he scores!"

"I'd like to see that moonwalk an awful lot more and, hopefully, we can improve his goal-scoring so he can improve his dancing."

"He's a great team player and he's got great feet, which is probably why he's Michael Jackson-mad."

"There was never much chance of me doing a moonwalk when I scored because I've got two left feet - just ask my Mrs - her feet are black and blue!"

"When I scored I used to put my arm in the air. I tried a forward roll once and almost broke my back!"

I still enjoy watching Baz though. I think he works hard and offers us something unpredictable and different. Hes certainly a handfull. I'd like to see him Challenge his son Ian, and get Chrisy Super Greenacre back in the fold.
