The revelation that the request to obtain him is illegal will make it harder I think for him to leave.

It also looks as if it's a board problem, judging by that. Something that has more to do with them and less with Les Parry, seeing as how ultimately the board could if they wished make all the transfers and not let Les make any.

Were this more the case, Les could try his best to appease Moore and see if that wouldn't work.

Plus any court action or even threatened action, might be offputting for other clubs, who would not want to go through that, were they to consider Moore as an option.

It is going to be a difficult time for the club and this won't help results. The board look on this evidence, as if they have really scored an own goal and shame on them, as yet again, Moore could go the way of people like Curran and Dagnall before him. People good enough to stay, but not so highflying, talent wise, like Steve Davis, Kay and Koumas, that you can't hang onto them, because they get higher level interest and much higher profile money.

The board must back Les right now and do everything in their powers to allow Moore to feel wanted and to reduce the likelihood of court action and the cloud it would cast over Tranmere, whilst it was going on.

I'm not saying the board should risk giving Moore much more money, at the risk of then having to do so for others later in the season and end up having poor youth development money and possibly a 65%+ of turnover wage bill, but given what he did last season, how could you delay giving the contract to him, that's just lunacy.

Hodgson spends 15 hours flying to Torres, to give him 15 minutes of time, that kept him at Anfield. Aldo flew all the way to the South of France, to stop Mcgreal signing for Tolouse.

This is where Tranmere need an Mcgreal moment. They need to reason with Moore and show him the clear intent, about what they can do with him in the team.

If this is about whether he goes to buddy up with his Dad Ronnie again, then yes it will be a significant pull, but it shouldn't mean Tranmere will have no chance, of getting him re-signed and settled in properly to the squad for this season.

The board need to review their policy on certain players. When you have people like Moore, Curran and Dagnall, that are not firm contenders to go to more sizeable clubs, but are prime members of your first team, then there's no big time reason for leaving, so don't then do anything to give them other reason to go.

Tranmere is a good club, with a bit of a flakey board at times.

Now is a moment where people will see just how much they can get their darn act together.

there is no way this will end in court if Rotherham have made illegal approach then it's for the FL to sort out not the courts..
Tranmere could report Rotherham to FL but it won't stop Rotherham signing him

I don't believe an illegal approach has been made but it puts your board in a quandary..

Do you say no to his request then you'll have a very unhappy player who won't give 100% or do you accept his demands knowing he will definitely leave the club..

you could offer him a wage rise but if he's made up his mind that he wants to join his dad then that won't work,or you could accept a fee for him and move on...

Matt34, I just want to put you right about Dagnall. He did not leave on his own accord, he was sold for the measly price of a family estate car. It was Little's decison to let him go because he coudn't see what we all saw which was someone who could score goals, instead he opted for Delroy Facey!!!!!!

I totally agree with you though. I'm not sure where this has come from but we do need a moment here. How can a player who was not just a couple of weeks ago saying how committed he was to this club now saying he wants to leave.

I am really concerened for the club if their captain wants out, what does that say about us, what message does it give to the fans. You've got to wonder if it's a case of rats leaving a sinking ship after todays performance and in all honesty, where on earth are we going to get the goals from if he does go.

It is interesting because usually at this point, these type of boards would be full of comments after today, but it seems to be so quiet, with very few comments. The next few weeks are certainly going to be interesting!!!

Our twitter followers have had a debate about this issue and it appears they're split on whether he'll stay or go. Personally I think he'll stay. The club I think will back down to him and offer him a one year extension because they realise how important and crucial he is to our season

I really hope he stays but if he is determined to leave then i would suggest we probaly will have to cash in as it could unsettle all the squad if we have a player who doesnt want to be there

the club isnt rotherham, it is suposudly someone in our league and, also apprentluy he doesnt want to leave. he frustrated with the lack of funds in the team as they all want to be pushing for playoffs

You originally said that there was no transfer request so ....?

The situation says more about the shambolic wa Rovers are run than it does about Moore or Rotherham.

Moore has been seeking a two year contract at this stage of his career that is not unreasonable.The board knew this at the start of the summer but did nothing about it.The request should have been ruled out immediately and if Moore was unhappy with this them then he coul dhave bbeen made available for transfer. It would have enabled areplacement to be found when the pool of worthwhile options would have been greater. The other option would have been to agree to the request. Instead we have adestablising start to the season.Again the problem lies with an approach to the balance sheet that only sees the savings column and not the costs that follow from this approach

No ITM did not train with us he just visited his father but Ronnie his father has confirmed that his son ITM has put a transfer request in...

I'm making the same point as you Big Mart....get rid of him before he disrupts the squad. I always believe rotten apples infect the rest of the barrell.

He's our most important player, we can't afford to lose him.
