sounds like a good fist half, would like to see their right back attacked second half now he's come on

theres virtually no first team experience in the team we really need the likes of broomes to come back quickly as things are likely to get tougher

Yes the youngsters are getting some gametime tonight against a league 2 team but if we have to play a lot of youngsters against peterborough on satuday we could get ripped apart.

Goodison will play saturday it will be interesting to see if ITM plays

nobody is jumping on anyone and i always support the team, im just pointing out the obvious fact that if we are left with a large number of kids in the team the consequences will be inevitable.

never understood on theese sites how so many people can change hypothisis in to fact ?
the choice Les has is restricted on several fronts ! who ever turns out I will support............................ and sorry to be difficult but you wrighting the lads off !?!?! well, not the kind of support I was thinking of bigmart !

It was a shame they couldn't use McClaren, Labadie, Goodison and Moore, not to mention they still can't use Broomes, Cathalina, Taylor and Mahon.

I'm really happy Showunmi got 3 in 3, it could be a decisive thing in the long term, though I wish he'd learn to use his head better.

Also, I'm disspointed Morrow was brought on as a sub. I'd have liked him on from the start. He's more experienced that some of the players playing and should have been a first choice I feel.

Yes he might have one or two issues regarding match fitness, but I think he should have started and should have been used for 60 mintues at least.

I'm not blaiming Showunmi for his penalty miss, as he did score and it shouldn't be all about him.

all the players you mention Mat as I understand it are carrying knocks or are injured (strange to bring Goodison on at the end then him not take a kick ! tho the score could have looked better if we'd had another kick) must have been hard for Les to field the 6 now required from the previouse game

Would you look at that, if people followed by betting advice they'd have won abit of money tonight! We came from behind to draw at 17/2 and scored our first goal in the second half at 2/1!! Shame I didn't bet on that myself!!

As for the game, I think we looked ok, though obviously weren't magnificent. Until they scored we were much the better side, but once again were shocking for fifteen minutes after the goal.

The goal came due to terrible, terrible defending by Blanchard. As a defender you DO NOT let the ball bounce like that on the edge of your own box. He did and Putterill nipped in front of Collister, who had no chance to get off his line quick enough, to score.

Other than that, Max had a pretty decent game, solid and won lots in the air. His partner, Grandison, had a terrific game I thought. He looked very solid, quick and composed on the ball. Les could have found a gem there.

My main gripe from tonight is our players NOT attacking the ball. Too many times they'd wait for the ball to come to them, and because they waited, it didn't. The only player who attacked the ball was Showunmi. If the likes of Darville, McGurk, Akins and Brown attacked the ball, we'd have retained possession so much better and probably created ourselves a fair few more chances.

I thought first half we played very well and were unlucky not to go in ahead. We created ourselves some good chances, mainly through Akins on the right, just couldn't finish them, with Showunmi and McGurk forcing saves and Fraughan hitting wide.

After the break though, we switched off for the goal and then for 15 minutes afterwards we were all over the place. Les MUST erradicate that. We've done it a couple of times in recent matches, switched off, conceded and then not picked ourselves up after it.

Once Enoch scored though we woke up again and had plenty of chances. Their 'keeper made some pretty good saves from the likes of Morrow and Showunmi but we just couldn't get a second sadly.

Player wise, again really disappointed with Darville. Beaten too easily too often and crossing is woeful. Cresswell solid again at left-back though and great to see him captain the side for the second half.

Midfield wise, Fraughan was anomonous pretty much all game whilst Welsh and Mendy in either half did little to inspire much.

I thought on the wings that Lucas Akins was great first half though. He created a few chances with some good crosses and looked dangerous. He was a lot weaker and quite frankly very disappointing second half though when swithced to the left.

Kayleden Brown looks very poor, I wouldn't be disappointed at all if he didn't extend his loan deal. He poses little threat and spent more time moaning and losing the ball than doing anything else.

Showunmi was fantastic up front. Always closing down, making chances for himself, winning the ball in the air and scoring for the third game running! He was, without doubt, my MOTM.

Thought McGurk showed promise up front, couple of good efforts on goal and a terrific first touch on him, as well as a great footballing brain, whilst Sam Morrow looked composed and well drilled when he came on too. A lot of promise there.

That just leaves Joe Collister, who I thought had a strong and mistakeless game. Claimed and punched plenty of crosses, made some solid saves and was generally dependable.

Over all, there were A LOT of young players out there tonight, many playing for the first time together and some for the first time altogether.

Each player showed individual promise at times and it's just about those players now getting fitter and gelling more as a team, because once that happens I think we'll be a pretty tough team to face.

We've got the promise. Now we just need to pull everything together and perform as one.

Was most impressed tonight with Enoch and Blanchard although McGurk and Cresswell were also very good.

Three goals in three games is a hugely positive sign for sure for Showumni!

only seen McG the once at Lairds, but he di look a cut above, him abd Enoch ........................ is Jaxk Mc injured anyone tell me ?

Not sure about Jack he didn't seem injured when I saw him before the game.

I rate Jack ! but if there are 'better' then I'd have jacj if fit on the bech snapping at their heals

A team of loanees, youth players and 1 year contracts will only go one way - league 2.

I thought the second batch of players arriving at Tranmere didnt look to bad, compared to Atkins and Brown the latest crew looked like world beaters, able to at least control the ball and contribute to the game, as said earlier wont be disapointed to see Browns loan not extended, and for me Atkins offered very little. Darville was very poor but at least we have some options coming back from injury to fill that problem, excluding Catalina who is just as bad. Thought Morrow looked good, also Mcgurk until he moved outside were he lacked the movement. The good thing is the competition for places is hotting up, Les can at least pick the best players in the correct possitions, hopefully 4 4 2. Jack Mack is not injured, he is playing at Morecombe tonight,as a winger hopefully

I think people are being harsh on Cathalina. He's been injured for a few weeks and played little preseason, so getting on his case for what little he's done is not helpful.
