Just as the month of November got underway, we set you the task of voting for your Player of the Month and Goal of the Month for October and now as we prepare to bring you our awards polls for November later this week, we are able to bring you the slightly delayed results of the October polls.

Unlike last month, which saw some close results, the player of the Month poll for October was almost a landslide with the winner gaining a massive 64% of the vote compared to his nearest challengers on 8% each.  The results were as follows.....

Sam Morrow14%

So youngster Dale Jennings, who continues to be linked with almost every Club in the top two divisions and even below that takes the Player of the Month Award by a huge margin polling almost two thirds of the votes cast.

In the Goal of the Month vote for October it was nowhere near as unanimous as the month before which saw Jennings poll 97% of the vote for his debut senior goal away at Bristol Rovers.  However it was Dale again who took the Goal of the Month Award for the second of his two strikes against MK Dons in Rovers’ 4-2 home win with the full results as follows......

PlayerVotesPercentage
Wootton v Brighton and HA (H)0
0%
Welsh 1st v Walsall (A)315%
Showumni v Walsall (A)00%
Thomas-Moore (Pen) v Walsall (A)00%

Jennings’ first strike in the same game and John Welsh’s amazing 35 yard plus lob over the Walsall goalkeeper at the Bank’s Stadium were the nearest challengers to Dale’s winning goal but didn’t run anywhere near close enough to winning.

Stay tuned to Total Tranmere later this week for our Player and Goal of the Month Polls for November as well as our weekly Man of the Match polls for all Rovers games and we will bring you the next Player and Goal fo the Month vote sometime during December.

Thanks to all who voted this time around!

Not really too much of a surprise to see a clean sweep by Dale I suppose.
