Leeds goalkeeper extends stay at Prenton Park by four weeks

Tranmere Rovers have today extended the loan stay of goalkeeper Paul Rachubka from Leeds United until the end of January.
The 30-year old joined Rovers at the end of November as cover for Tranmere number one Owain fon Williams and has played in all of Tranmere's five games since signing, keeping one clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Bury at Prenton Park last Friday.
Welshman fon Williams has been out of action after picking up a wrist injury in training in November. Although he is not expected to be back in action until the end of the month, fon Williams tweeted on December 29th "Just had some good news, I'm out of cast and got the wires out of my thumb today. Still few weeks yet before being able to train properly."
Rachubka will remain at Prenton Park therefore as cover until fon Williams returns to the first team, and is available for Tranmere's home game against Brentford in League One this Saturday.
Another player on loan at Tranmere, Jose Baxter, is due to see his spell at the club expire this week but Rovers boss Les Parry has confirmed that he will be speaking to Baxter's manager, David Moyes of Everton, as he seeks to extend the 19-year olds stay on the Wirral.
