If you can't make Tranmere's game away at Bury on Saturday afternoon, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......

Article Header - Match Discussion

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the more costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game as well as a half-time report on how the game is going for the benefit of those who are unable to make it.

Stadium - Bury (Night)

Tranmere of course, make the trip to Bury on Saturday afternoon in NPower League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on?

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible whilst there will also be our usual update service from our Twitter feed @totaltranmere so if you are not already following us it may be worth doing so!

We go there with one point in the back pocket given our run over the games under Ronnie we should retain that point but if we can score early(Sm13) in the game and that makes Bury`s heads drop we could go on to pinch it so I think a 2-0 or 2-1 win is with in our scope onwards and upwards to the fifty plus points mark.
Of course a win thumbs downtomorrow would set us up for the home game against Stevenage and we could be on 54 points(Sm53) before a hard away game at MKD.

Much as though I have no beef about Bury, I want Tranmere to bury Bury (Sm7).

I'm still waiting for Tranmere to get 3 or more goals in a game this season. Maybe it will be against Bury.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Sounds like Bury are having the better play in the opening 28 minutes hope we can hang on till half time when Ronnie can get the lads in and kick some(Sm49)and liven them up for the second period.

Too many poor individual performances today.

Fonners wasn't himself. Buchanan had a poor start, constantly outpaced but for me got progressively better as the game went on. Two CB's were average, Taylor hoofed more than usual, though they seemed to go missing for the second goal? Holmes wasn't his usual self though he wasn't p!ss poor or anything.

Robbo was another poor performer today. Usuaully he drives the team but he just wasn't there. Brunt didn't do much wrong, but didn't do much right either. Cassidy was constantly offside.

We just didn't turn up at all.

Good away support though!

Dire match. Bury shaded us. Thought Akins was our best player today for his work rate .

The fans turned up but the players didn't. Bury wanted it,we looked as if we didn't. A total let down from the whole lot of them[although it was hard to have a go at the 2 young lads up front as there was absolutely no service to either of them].

We didn't have a ''best player''.

It was like deja vu, a very poor performance reminiscent of the bad old days. Brunt and Cassidy seemed like little boys lost, and Robbo played like he was pi@@ed off about something. Ash looked solid again but there was a return to hoofball. Thought Sodje had a great game for them, their winger, Amoo, looked good too. Shame the same can't be said about us.

We seemed to be playing for a point through most of it but I feel the key was missing Wallace in centre-mid. The midfield just didn't seem the same without him.

The defence collectively were awful for the two goals but I thought Ash did well to keep Bishop quiet.

Robbo and Buchanan both had shocking games and Holmes was also out of sorts.

For me Enoch should not have been dropped. Against a player like Sodje, ariel threat was going to be key and that isn't going to come from either Brunt or Cassidy.

Maybe Enoch wasn't fully fit but he had 20 decent minutes at the end (which arguably changed the game) and could have had such an effect from the start.

Poor team selection for me coupled with a number of 'off-days' from the players.

I thought Enoch looked totally disinterested in the short time he was on.There was one situation when one of our players[possibly Welsh] had the ball by the byline and the situation cried out for the hard low cross for the tap in. Over it came as required but where was the striker coming in on it.Answer-he was just standing on the edge of the area doing nothing. He wasn't the only one though-the whole lot of them were let downs after the last few games.

You say Ash kept Bishop quiet-Ronnie Moore in his comments doesn't seem to agree with you.

Dont think you can blame Fon for Burys first goal as it was a great header by the centre back and in a place he just couldnt get too. Taylor best of a poor team display.
Neither Brunt nor Cassidy won a ball in the air against Burys centre "cap"back and Moore should have brought Enoch on at half time not when two down with twenty minutes to go.
Perhaps giving the team two days rest from training during the week wasnt such a good idea after all.

What I find a little concerning is that at half time most people I spoke to agreed that harsh words should be being said in the dressing room. But there was no improvement after the break-if anything apart from the last ten minutes it got even worse. The times that I looked towards the bench area, the ONLY person I could see giving orders/instructions/encouraging/shouting at the players was Ronnie Moore himself who not surprisingly looked pretty animated. But he didn't seem to be getting much assistance from other members of staff?

His staff have been notably quieter on a whole since his arrival, IMO...

Anyway, on to the game - we were shocking. We couldn't string two passes together and were constantly turned inside out by their quick counter attacking style of play which saw them get the ball to Amoo as quick as possible and he, more often than not, got the better of Buchanan.

For some bizarre reason, we tried hoofball but went to Cassidy every time as opposed to the arguably more domineering figure of Brunt, who as a result couldn't get into the game at all.

I thought Ash did well in the first half, cutting out a number of balls/passes and making some decent tackles, whilst second half I think Akins did a good job with minimal support. He put some good crosses into the box and beat his man a number of times but nobody else looked interested in getting forward.

It says a lot when Robbie Weir had our best chance of the game...and he came on for Labadie who had a real chance to make a claim for a first team spot but absolutely blew it.

He wasn't the only bad one out there, though. Robinson was absolutely abysmal - I lost count of the amount of times he gave the ball away, and both full-backs had uncharacteristically weak games. Welsh struggled until the final ten or so minutes and we really only seemed to wake up when Zoum came on.

Very poor result and performance against a side who'd not won in 13. The first goal was absolutely shocking defending whilst the second was terrible attacking play from Robinson in their area before, to be fair, an incisive and good counter attack.

We all knew the run would come to and end, but to go down like a ship's anchor like that was hugely disappointing.

Now THATS the Ronnie Moore type performance I remember from last time round.

wasnt going to be long lose 1 in 7 and make it sound like we should never got rid of les.

why not like everyone else and give constructive critisim. your always going to lose games we lost 1 game what the point in supporting a manger if your going to turn on him after one defeat you would be happy if we had one of the worlds greatest manger in charge but then you would soon turn when he gets beat

We just need to make sure there is no repeat performance next week. We were a bit ropey against Exeter but got the win, on Saturday we were awful and got punished.

I still think we need 2 wins to be sure.
