Match Thread: Fulham vs Wolves
Match of the season?
February 24 2018
Wolves travel to Craven Cottage today for a game many are claiming could be the game of the season
It's a level playing field for the match after both teams played only three days ago. Fulham have a full squad to choose from, but Wolves will be without influential midfielder Ruben Neves, who will serve the first of a two match suspension for ten yellow cards.
Fulham are winless in nine matches against Wolves in all competitions (D3 L6) since a 5-0 win in the Premier League in March 2012. Since that 5-0 loss, Wolves have only conceded one goal in four visits to Craven Cottage in all competitions (W3 D1).
Fulham have won seven successive home league games, keeping clean sheets in each of the last three - they last won four consecutive league games without conceding at Craven Cottage in April 1999.
So all to play for! This game will be screened live by Sky TV, but updates on here will be made when possible.

A bad day at the office for Wolves though.
A deserved win for Fulham
Fulham played well and fully deserved the win but we were poor in the 2nd half. To many players looked off the pace. Bonatini was awful tonight I would have had him off at half time. Still think we will win the league but it looks like the team are determined to make us sweat. Didn't agree with nunos subs for the 2nd game running but he will get us over the line.....i hope!
I was surprised he took N'Daiye taken off as he was in the thick of everything in the first half. Costa worked hard but was unproductive up front. At least Cavaleiro avoided the hook for a change. The chances for Adobe were minimal after he came on, and Gibbs-White had very little time to settle into his role or show his skills. Saiss was hurt so no surprise to see him subbed.
Though a Tranmere fan I am a big fan of the wolves remember the battles with wolves Steve Bull v John Aldridge ,happy days don’t panic over this result you will win the League .Fulham very good side ,I hope wolves and Fulham go up
Thanks for your supportive comments. I'm sure we all hope Rovers can find their way back into the EFL this season too.
Typically Cardiff have scored in the 82nd minute to best Bristol City and cut our lead to six points, which is disappointing to say the least as we still have to go to Cardiff
We are still in a great position though, however I don’t deny any Wolves fan to get a bit of the colly wobbles at the moment. We’ve been there, done it etc. Having said that, the 2002 experience still looms large in the memory and I was there v Grimsby at home when Muscat lost his marbles. I duly note I will be there again both next week and v Burton . Anyroad, rather than 2002, I urge fans to instead think of 2008/09 when we could barely muster a fart on the pitch during January and February following runaway success pre-christmas - this is the better and more satisfying comparison to be made.
We do need our mojo back and am slightly concerned what a 3pm Cardiff win next saturday will do to the Molineux nerves (fans and players), but I remain confident we’ll do it. Remember - think 2009!!
I agree with Ivy about Neil Warnock,,, he is some Manager to grind out Results.
This is the time for cool heads and calm nerves.
