The Sharkies look like they could be in big trouble.

I just heard on the radio that the Sharks are prepared to pay the 14 players to plead guilty and take a six month suspension. Not sure if it is just a rumour or not yet.

They are accused of taking banned substances in 2011. Several of those involved will have moved to other clubs so it will not just be the Sharks effected. Frizzell who just signed for us would have been there then. Lets hope he was not involved.

It will not stop with the players. The coaching staff and all the admin right up to the CEO will be held accountable.

The coach in 2011 was Rivky Stewart, One of Leagues favourite sons. Now coach of the Parramattta Eels.

Looking for a positive out of this is the Sharkies do lose a heap of players then we won't get the wooden spoon.

OK well the board are now trying to point the finger at the management and have just sacked the GM, Coach, trainers and performance / medical staff.

They have allegedly offered to pay the players for six months and offered them one year extensions to their contracts if they will plead guilty and take a six month expulsion and sign a deed stating that they will not sue the club.

Not sure what they are offering the former Sharks players that are involved and have left the club. Or indeed what they are offering their new clubs.

The strange thing is that I understand the the NRL have asked ASADA if they have the evidence against the players that will stand up in court. ASADA are supposed to have said, not yet.

Under those circumstances why would any of the players plead guilty.

The Sharks are expected to be at full strength for their game on Sunday. Except for their entire coacking staff that is,

Easy wins for hull, wigan, huddersfield and Saints tonight with Widnes fighting back for a spirited draw.. stand out result being Saints good performance and easy away win against a very lacklustre wolves side.. Halesowen will be fuming and Colin will be knocking the sangria back with a smile on his face. thumbs down

Storm 30 Dragons 10

The boys actually played reasonably well. Storm got a couple of tries against the run of pay which screwed the score.

Next week we at home to the Boncos. Hopefully we can get two points . I will be there. Cannot wait.

Big day for us today Alfie. Played two, lost two, we are away at Canberra. We have not won down there since 1999.

Keep everything crossed.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the game. Bit hesitant to ask but, Suicides?

Did Joel Monaghan take his dog to the game?

No, Someone Jumped infront of a Train at Wigan.

It delayed all the trains. Took me an extra 3 hours to get home

Alfie

There are a lot of Poms suddenly coming over here to play these days. Has the money dried up over there?

Sam Burgess was pretty awesome tonight for the Bunnies against Manly,

Garteh Widdop has just signed on for the Dragons for next year. We got beaten up by the Roosters yesterday. It was not pretty.

He needs to get on the first plane back to the Tigers. They lost three players to serious injury tonight against the Broncos and finished the game with 12 players. They lost.

How do you rate Mike Cooper from Warrington? Looks like the Dragons are chasing him and Chase Stanley for next year.

Chunky/stocky lad, plays hard and hits high in the tackle more than is needed. Second rower who bases his game on defence rather than attack. Could go well down under but discipline would need working on.

Thanks for that CW and welcome to the thread. I was waiting for your thoughts.

I was bemoaning the fact that we had no hard men only yesterday. Hopefully he will soon learn to go a bit lower if he does sign.

I must say that I am excited for the English natioanl tema in two or three years time.

The Messiah plays his first game for us on Saturady night. I will be walking on.

Josh Dugan has the potential to turn the season round for us or destroy the team with his antics.

Thought I'd jump on this thread, now that I've seen it.

Great to see Wigan top of the pile!

Been very impressed by the standard of the NRL since we got here. Bunnies, Roosters and the Storm seem the real deal and Manly are on the hardest teams I've seen for a while.

Does anybody think there is any truth in the rumour that Tompkins will be coming over? I've stuck my neck out with a few of the natives and claimed that he's on a par with Billy Slater, which earned me some funny looks!
