It was a brilliant winning start from England yesterday against South Africa. I thought we were about 30 runs short of a par score, but the bowlers showed us what they could do and rattled through the South African batting line up. It was a super all round display from Ben Stokes and what a flying catch in the deep.
The West Indies skittled out Pakistan for 105 runs today. Someone will have made a killing in the bookies

They don't half stretch this thing out..don't see why they can't have 2 matches every day during the round robin round.Or at least on a Friday & Sunday along with a Saturday.

England playing like they have been nobbled today, shocking performance by the bowlers and fielders.

I was just saying to a mate yesterday that our bowlers are not good enough to compliment our batting power.
I will be surprised if we actually win the all thing...I wouldn't be surprised if we don't finish in top 4.

Sir Lanka throwing one in today against Afghanistan, but the rain might save them in Cardiff.
I think England thought it was going to be too easy against Pakistan yesterday. Hopefully lessons have been learnt and the team will be fully focused for the rest of the tournament.

It was just a good old fashioned game of pocket billiards
Looks like there will be no play again today in the World Cup. It is such a shame that you wait four years for the tournament to come round and judging by the weather forecast, a week is now going to be lost due to the rain.

That’s more like it today from England, scoring 397-6 against Afghanistan with a record breaking 17 sixes from Eion Morgan.

Pakistan set Bangladesh a score of 316 to win today at Lords. They need to bowl them out for 7 or less to qualify for the semi-finals. I wonder if there will be some strange betting patterns during the interval followed by a surprising batting collapse

It is an interesting first semi-final at Old Trafford today. New Zealand are currently 211-5 after 46.1 overs, with rain stopping play. It looks a low score, but the ball has been misbehaving a bit and with cloud cover about the New Zealand bowlers' might get some swing, which the Indian batters’ won’t like facing.

Hopefully Johnny Barstow’s groin injury isn’t too serious and he is fit for Sunday, as we don’t want James Vince coming back in for the final. In that scenario I’d be tempted to recall Alex Hales. He can take as many drugs as he likes as long as England win the World Cup on Sunday.

Watched the last couple of hours, pretty exciting stuff, thought NZ had it in the bag, then the fielder stepped onto the boundary rope and then a throw hitting an outstretched bat and going for an extra 4. Then the extra over thingy, great entertainment.

Well done England! Cricket has come home
I died a thousand deaths watching the final on Sunday. The way the match kept swing one way and then another was not good for the old dickey ticker.
It all came good in the end thanks in part to Ben Stokes' “Bat of God” moment.
