LIfe Under Lockdown

The UK was put into full lockdown at 8:30 tonight.
Only essential workers can travel on public transport
No gatherings more than 2 or a family
One walk a day, and essential shopping or medical visits.

We will need to keep morale up, any good ideas, websites etc use this thread.

Be careful out there

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Go On A Long Walk

Take a Flask with you and a bite to eat

Stop by your mates house

In Every City In The UK There is a Green Belt

Purposely Designed For People to enjoy long walks in fresh air.

You can thank Labour's 1947 Town and Country Planning Act of Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales for that.

Every City in The UK has got at least one good size Green Belt specifically designed for people to walk and have a good time doing so.

If you are a regular dog walker. I think you'll know this.

You'll know the social aspect of greeting other regulars on the walk and having a chat, etc.

If you're shopping and you couldn't get what you wanted at one store, your baby formula, your vitamin c for immune support (good luck finding that on a shelf anywhere) you can obviously try another shop if that shop is past your mom and she lives alone, why not call her and ask if you can go together to the next shop and take the scenic route getting there.

Btw:

Theres no time like the present for some spring cleaning.

Stay Safe.

Btw if you're spring cleaning open the windows.

Karen was spring cleaning with the windows closed.

And used more cleaning chemicals than needed.

Don't be a Karen.

Hi. It's 1pm here on the other side.
We go into full lockdown at midnight.
I had my last cider at my local last night and it was a bit quiet.
Everyone keeping their distance.
Pubs/restaurants, churches, gyms etc are now all closed for 4weeks min.
Supermarkets, petrol stations, banks and others fall under essencial services category .
Still no deaths here. Fingers crossed. Stay safe.

Oh yeah while you're walking.

Saw a lady do this yesteday:

You can wear a neckerchief, A bandana, A scarf, A cloth, An old t-shirt around your neck (if you don't have a mask)

So like if you have a bandana or a square cut cloth. You can fold it in half like a triangle = Congratulations you have a double layer garment. Tie that around the back of your head and you've got a dapper face mask.

Pair that up with a wide brim hat or a cap and you're stylin.

Just to let everyone know that we are still doing ok here in Chicago. All self quarantined at home for the past 2 weeks since 12 March. Every non essential and non emergency services has been shutdown, toilet papers are missing from super markets. Situation is severe across the country and Illinois cases are increasing by the days. Also working from home indefinitely for the time being.

Hope all of you are doing ok. Stay safe and god bless.

No you're not -

Services, free movement and work that can continue (according to written government guidance and interviews in past 12 hours)

You should not:

Visit friends in their home

Meet family members who do not live in your home

Leaving home

People are instructed to limit going out for these reasons:

Shopping for basic necessities “as infrequently as possible”

To take one form of exercise a day - for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household

I'll give it one more go.
Can we see friends and family in lockdown? Following the government’s previous advice to practice social distancing and avoid all non-essential social contact, we should already have been limiting the time we spent with friends and family with whom we don’t already live. Under the new, stricter, measures that are going to be enforced by law now the UK is in lockdown, we should not be seeing or socialising with anyone outside of our household unless they are vulnerable or need care.

Also from the Guradian article that you quoted (The vidow won't load)

What do the new restrictions involve?

In brief: an Italian-style lockdown to force people to stay at home beyond a small range of very limited circumstances. Under the terms explained by Boris Johnson in his TV address, people will be allowed to leave home only for the following reasons:

shopping for necessities, as infrequently as possible;

one form of exercise a day, such as running or cycling, alone or with household members;

for medical or care needs, for example to help a vulnerable person;

travelling to and from work, but only if you cannot work from home.

Meeting friends, shopping for anything beyond essentials, and gathering in crowds are now banned.
Stay. At. Home. You can go out and exerces with members of your household.

They didn't say that on Sky, not when it was first reported anyway.
