You know if you read a lot of forums from other clubs and various social media groups there's a hell of a lot of people who say we won't get anywhere simply due to the fact he's our manager. Just saying is all

Something was wrong last season and the same this season. Best players, but unable to covert. I said it last season, I like GB but think he needs help with some of the tactics.

I have to agree with them, I think the problem we had last season was Ultimatley we missed the playoffs by a point, tough to let him go under those circumstances, an you can't get rid after one dodgy week, who'd take the job then. We won't progress until he moves on, even if we go up because I don't think he'll offer anything in the football league, we would have a fair chance of dropping straight back out. He's a scouse lad at the end of the day and we try to play "the scouse way". They are great at getting people together and making teams tough to beat look at Southport, but it needs more here because to win the league you need the full package. I reckon I can have affair guess at the team talk, Quite a bit of shouting, quite a bit of swearing on the lines of what the f'ing beep was that f'ing beep out their, will you f'ing get into them you f'ing bunch of beeps. I haven't brought you here to f'ing show that, if you ain't gonna f'ing show me something there's the f'ing door walk through it because I'm tellin you know your finished here look at me will yer yer f'in beep and not the f'in floor, no f'in get out there and put f'in right.

Sound's like a good idea,to much negativity in his make up for me,we need winger's playing on the wings we need Norwood and Cook up front.
As for Maynard nowhere near the fullback spot and holding midfielder who can supply balls up front for our strikers.

Yea pretty much the same here, the cup game against the Welsh was the one for me. I think anyone could have steadied the ship though, a bit like finding sh£t in a cow field at this level.

Quote:very true. The first game v Barrow answered a lot of my questions but I didn't mention it on here as with it being the first home game and the fact we won would of got me shot down. I'm still not calling for his head but just think he's done what he's done and there is nothing else to come. To much emphasis on defending, playing into the opposition's hands over and over again, to many capable players shackled by tactics that would be suited to a relegation threatened side. Hope I'm wrong I really do but from the games I've seen (home only) we have not got another gear that we keep thinking is surely in there somewhere.HiggosbootsQuote:2 the moonQuote:To be honest I lost faith after the home games v Welling and Wrexham last season. With some it wouldn't matter if brabin had won the first 20 games as soon as he lost one they would be calling for his head. And dragging up last season as a example. We have lost one game so far and IMO we have played better than last season, we are set up this year for promotion either as top or play offs, if we don't go up then yes things may need changing and palios won't be getting rid because we lost one game.
I'm not saying certain fans are negative I'm saying some seem to take pleasure that they can get a chance to slag off brabin after losing one game and not scoring 25 goals past the bottom two teams.

One game does not make a season necessarily and Tranmere are second on goal difference. Winning the next one could potentially put them back on top. Even a draw could do it.

We are going to struggle,so would work for me .sorry but he is not the man for the club ,I certainly don't get pleasure criticising Brabin I just want what is best for rovers and I don't believe it's him

What is best for rovers is to get behind the manager and players 100%.
Brabin isn't my favourite Tranmere manager but what he does have is a thick skin. I admire him for that because there is so much negativity every time we lose.

I do think we are offering more than last year though, the biggest issue was home performance/results, so far so good 100% on that front, if we can stay unbeaten at home, winning the majority and get any where near last seasons away results well do well, it's just gonna be pretty boring, can only hope we grow in confidence and exuberance grows with it. IMO 7 defeats in all and 7 draws or the equivilent there of, takes over the 100 points and should do to win the league. I suppose you could then say we can loose 1 of the two games against the other play off hopefuls, FG, Aldershot, Wrexham, Daggers, Eastleigh, leaving 2 defeats in reserve for the second round of those games and 7 draws in hand, of which we've used one against Southport so we're on course I suppose. And if we can win draw games it gives money in the bank to loose another game or two, if we then are points off the play off rivals mores the better. I really can't see more teams than that picking up points off us. I hope, but then we have GB for league 2, yey but no
