Maybe Corey should get the chip on his shoulder removed during his free week off. Inexcusable

Big changes needed in the squad, that will only come with big changes in the clubs attitude towards its squad. I don’t think the owners see players as investable assets more a drain on finance therefore we are gambling and trying to do it on the cheap. We are crying out for quality instead we are lumbered with has-beens, hope they will be’s and journeyman. We absolutely should have 3 really good strikers on the books not 9 gambles. I’d keep Ferrier bin the rest, same for the midfield, keep Morris bin the rest.

Am also not convinced by Mellon at this level but no real alternative to him and he deserves the chance to progress. Mickys hard work, energy and graft approach will get you by at Lg2 and NL, at this level you need quality, guile, patience and a plan mixed in with it. These teams are to good to overrun with tempo alone.

I said from day 1 this squad was not good enough and it’s coming home to roost ,I don’t know what the answer is ,we are stuck with most of them .Mellon picked them ,he has accepted the accolades for the promotions now he should accept the fact that this is down to him ,sorry but his-signings,since he arrived have been pretty dismal ,sick notes, has beens, and never will be and there the better ones ,.Accrington ,MKDons ,Wimbledon won today ,not looking good .i don’t care if they were the better team today I don’t know I wasn’t there but the bottom line is they lost ,CBT should go back to Villa ,not got the attitude we need ,he is lazy if he actually sweated he would need counselling .and no ,I don’t hate Mellon ,not got it in for him etc etc I said from day one I did not rate him but more by good luck and some good management at times he has done well ,but he is being found out through lack of funds and a lethal lack of ability to recruit well ,as I said before if you shop at Netto don’t expect prime beef .i await the Lynch mob ,

Bad result we're heading for the bottom three and then we are going to get adrift in that bottom three with those above it breaking away points wise.
Sadly it looks like the drop our team is not up to it we can't score end up with red cards too often.
Accrington score 4 today in one game that's about four game's for us sorry MM surely there we're no positives in this game today.

One thing i would say is are they Mellons signings? In his press conference yesterday regarding a loan keeper he said “the recruitment team are looking hard for a goalkeeper” Maybe they need looking at very hard

Looking forward to another good away day, which pubs are people going?
Took three hours to get from Stockport to Sheffield by train[bucked rails?] .Then the last one which would get me from Sheffield to Lincoln before kick off was cancelled due to lack of staff. The next one wasn't due at Lincoln station till half time. Then there's the fifteen to twenty minutes walk to the ground. And there's no way of foreseeing the time it would take to get back.
So I've come back home.
bad day hoots..no chance of going to watch sheff utd v villa?
No. Didn't want to. But could have gone to Stockport v Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy

He's on a two year contract not on loan.

Funny you say he should be sent back to villa but those that actually went the game said he was the best player on the park before he was harshly and more importantly naively sent on his way.
Cutting edge is what seems to be brought up rather than a dismantling.

Some would say naively ross, id say stupidly, you could see what sort of mood the ref was in therefore dont give him anything to penalise you by. He plays well in spurts but needs to get rid of the attitude. You were happy to sign for a league 1 club Corey so get on with it.

Ref was abysmal (Jal Jal called it) but we are our own worst enemy - IFollow didn't show the build up clearly but it certainly looked like he deliberately walked in the way of their defender, CBT has flashes of class yes (as does RHM) but CBT is already becoming a luxury player as as pointed out above he does nothing to help in backtracking. MM talked about educating him but if you are a lazy "glory boy" that doesn't work. He should be fined 2 weeks wages IMO - one for the fact he isn't available next week and one for the fact he has been sent off twice and arguably cost us 2 games. He needs a reality check PDQ - he is not a Villa player any more - he wasn't good enough so forget all the dreams of being a Premiership player and knuckle down. All that said MM is beginning to worry me big time. Like 50 I always thought he wasn't as great a manager as others on here think but I really wonder whether the pressure is getting to him. No Wilson at all - and no mention of him being injured? Woods on bench. Are they really worse players than those he picked... come on!

Ross will never say anything negative about the team or the club. I’d love to live in his world, but unfortunately I live in a real one. This is the worst I’ve seen us in over 40 years. That said, I do think it was a tad OTT being sent off for something every player does, but if you don’t give the ref the opportunity, then you don’t walk.

The question I ask is whats our identity as a club and a team?

Nightmare of a train journey to the game yesterday, our 10:49 out of Piccadilly to Sheffield terminated in the middle of nowhere at New Mills Station and returned to Piccadilly, luckily an Imps fan sat in front of us managed to speak with Northern assist on his mobile, they immediately booked him a paid taxi to Sheffield over the Snake Pass, we jumped in with him, I saw a Rovers fan in a blue bobble get on the train a few stops earlier, went looking for him but to no avail, journey was a bit scary and by this time we knew trains to Lincoln weren’t running, on arrival at Sheffield they booked us a 2nd paid taxi getting us to the ground at 2:50 by the skin of our teeth, Lincoln are a totally changed team now Cowley is not there, both teams were pretty toothless and unfortunately they took their chance, game spoiled once again by Boyeson, how he never gave us the penalty in the last minute only he knows, straight forward journey home on the Wirral at 10:10pm, tired today.
