Why don’t you all get the coach ,comfortable ,warm take your sandwiches ,no cold draughty stations waiting for a train that might or might not turn up ,or take the car if 3/4 of you ,a lot of work done on the railway weekends ,all sorts of holdups ,can’t beat the coach

On that train too. We were meeting a mate who had to stand around at Sheffield station for two and a half hours. Went for a nice Tapas because we weren't going to get to the game. So only comment, nice Tapas bar, and will think about the coach next time. But got the train because the roads are so bad .Aaaaargh

I see Nicola Palios is bleating on her Twitter about being delayed for just an hour and a half on Avanti yesterday. Sympathy......................................not so sure.

I looked with interest at the comments re coach travel, sadly some of us haven’t got loads of cash to splash, it cost me £25.60 on train return to Lincoln for an adult & child, official club coach would have been £49. Ipswich coach £79 whilst our train tickets cost £39, Coventry coach £43, Rotherham £41, both these journeys by train cost less than half price, Watford train for both £20.40.
Luckily I managed to get to Lincoln with the help of a Lincoln fan, Southend again the week later I’ll be saving another fortune, I think I will take a chance and keep using the train, also used the car for Fleetwood, find the coach too restrictive, everyone to their own preference, wouldn’t dream of making everyone take the coach unless they decide to subsidise travel like Fylde have done previously. As long as we are there shouting for the SWA who cares how we got there.

I am in Sri Lanka for a few weeks so watched the game life. The refereeing was not great in that it was inconsistent. The sending off would have been justified if the same standard had been applied throughout the game.
As for the performance we were the better side until the sending off without making any clear cut chance in that period. Even in that period though some weaknesses were apparent. For al, Lincoln were singularly unimpressive they were able to attack with freedom down the right and Ridehaigh looked exposed, not helped by the poor cover in front of him.
The sending off changed the game and the goal itself was frustrating for it looked as though a otherwise sound Nelson should have cleared the ball
The loan keeper did not have much to do but he looked at times to be twitchy in terms of his positioning. He did nothing in this game that Pilling would not have done just as well but for all their second half possession Lincoln did not really test the keeper once. .
Lincoln looked very poor and add this result to tpoints dropped at home to Rochdale,Southend and Accrington and it is difficult to escape the conclusion that whatever the faults of referees we are were we are on merit and now very much in danger of losing touch.
If money is so tight I would rather have saved it for replacing patent weaknesses than setting aside the as yet barely untried Pilling

Used split ticketing with family & friends railcard to Lincoln, same for Rotherham. Coventry at Birmingham was very cheap from Chester direct with TFW. Always try and book tickets when released by train companies especially Virgin/AvantiWestCoast through Euston to Ipswich & Southend etc.
