Luton, Charlton and Barnsley continue to make an excellent fist of it

The 3 teams who would have been demoted by the (Lee Bowyers words) "ridiculous" PPG system are continuing to make great progress.
All unbeaten in 3 games. Last night Luton drew away at Leeds, Charlton at Cardiff and Barnsley despatched Blackburn Rovers.

The argument is completely irrelevant.

PPG was used to settle things based on performance to date. That's all. It is not an attempt to predict outcomes after allowing for the unplayed matches (even though there were some noises from the FA about that in April.....before the FA itself then decided to apply PPG to the women's game later on)!

"inconsistent" is the only way to describe the FA. But was it the FA's decision on the women's game? You can see why South Shields, Jersey Bulls - and Liverpool Ladies - are hopping mad.

Yes the FA decided the top two levels of the women's game. They have their own women's board who decided on PPG and the full FA board approved it. It wasn't a vote of the clubs.

Jersey and South Shields WANT PPG! I don't agree with their consistency argument. The factors in play at the top of the game for deciding sporting outcomes were very different to those at the bottom in this instance.

South Shields can rot for all I care, their sugar daddy bleating constantly and thinking they can buy a promotion they never even won, and still had plenty left to do to win it. Their sense of entitlement is beyond arrogant. Null and void won the day in non league by a fair process.
