My favourite Arsenal player
The following article is a slightly enhanced version of an answer I gave to who is your favourite player on the AT forum. A link to the original and discussion is at very bottom of article. I apologise for any poor editing, but I am busy doing nothing.
Arsenal Yet To Recover?
The recent defeat by Olympiacos got regular poster Hippogunner thinking about what exactly has gone wrong with this club of ours. His personal view follows below:
Music Arsenal Have Run Out To
This discussion was inspired by a request from researchers at Sheffield University enquiring as to what music the Arsenal Football Team ran out to at home. Having followed Arsenal for over 60 years I suddenly realised I couldnt quite remember all the variations.

Player Ratings Arsenal Show Great Spirit At Chelsea
Disastrous start but we showed character that we didn't show under Emery or even under Wenger towards the end.
Player Ratings Arsenal v Sheff U Some Positives Same Failing
United started off much better before we found our feet and started to control the game a little bit. Scored right at the end of the first half and were comfortable for most of the second half. Again, like against Palace we were so comfortable yet didn't create enough chances, and United equalised late on. Not good at all. Saka and Martinelli were the only positives (perhaps Pepe's continuing improvement. Ed) as far as I could see. One 18 year old setting up another.
Player Ratings Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Arsenal were good for the first 25 minutes but only created 1 chance, which we took well. Palace grew into the game and the Gunners didn't really have a response.
Player Ratings Arsenal v Leeds FA Cup 3rd Round
Real game of two halfs. First half was like watching Emery's 2019 Arsenal. Awful, absolutely no midfield and saved only by our keeper and the woodwork. Second half was a big improvement and what a moment for Hale End boy Reiss to win it!
Luiz brilliant Pepe Brilliant All Brilliant Ratings v Man U
First half Arsenal were the better side by miles as the front four worked much, much harder than Man United's, whilst the whole team remained disciplined and organised. Second half the Gunners kept up that work rate, maintained discipline, weathered Man United's attempt at a comeback and on another night could've had a few more on the counter attack.
Positives? + Ratings v Chelsea
Regular AT contributor Matt Sadler asks are there any positives to be had from the match v Chelsea. Flava a regular poster to the AT Forum rates the team in the same match.
